Purpose: To establish guidelines for MMHA teams travelling to league games further than 150km one way, from their home venue, to ensure compliance with OMHA recommendations around travel and teams.

Scope: It is suggested that MMHA teams who must travel further than 150 kms one way, to a MMHA sanctioned league or playoff game, charter a bus. All MMHA teams who require a bus must use the company approved by the MMHA for that season.

The MMHA will advise teams annually as to the coach company to be used. For the upcoming season, Coach Canada is the preferred provider.

Teams must ensure they budget for the cost of bus, making the assumption they may play away up to two times in league play and possibly a third time during the playoffs.

Teams using a bus during regular season play and/or in the OMHA Playoffs will be reimbursed half the cost of the bus and driver, by the MMHA, to a maximum of $800 per round trip..

* Referees require a minimum of 72 hours to be scheduled
* Teams will be invoiced for travel permits for all outside OMHA tournaments and outside OHF exhibition games
